Detailed Wine Information

Alcohol:14.2%
Appellation:California
Sub-Appellation:San Joaquin County
Harvest Date:September 5, 2007
Special Designation:Duarte Linden Hills
Tasting Notes:This wine features light peach, honeysuckle and pear aromas, followed by yellow peach and mango flavors that culminate in a bright citrus finish.
Vineyard Notes:The Duarte Family Vineyard has been a major contributor to the success of this wonderful varietal. This family vineyard is located near Linden, about 2 hours north of Fresno State. The slight climate influence establishes the perfect growing region for Viognier.
Vintage Notes:This vintage of Viognier was blended with just enough Sauvignon Blanc to create complexity throughout the mouth. Sugars and acid were in balance, while mild sun exposure ripened the golden colored cluster. The crop load was average this year for this variety, resulting in fruit maturity in each vineyard row.
Winemakers Notes:The Viognier was whole clustered pressed, cold settled for 24 hours and fermented at 55 Degrees Fahrenheit.
