How Much Sleep Do You Need?

Sleep is probably one of the most important factors that affect your over-all health. For most of us, we tend to forget its importance especially when we are too busy with our work and personal life. This, of course, is unfortunate because sleep is as important as well-balanced diet and active lifestyle.

In order to achieve optimal sleep, a healthy adult should be able to sleep around 7 to 9 hours every night. This quantity will enable the person to function at their best.

Just like what we mentioned earlier the number of sleep needed vary depending on age. For example, if an adult needs at least 7 hours of sleep, newborns need 14 to 17 hours of sleep per day while teenagers usually require 8 to 10 hours.
