Just after harvest the fruit is cryogenically suspended (frozen) to obtain maximum concentration. The fruit is then pressed while frozen resulting in very concentrated Zinfandel “syrup” that cold fermented. The result is one of the most unique dessert wines in the world which is the essence of Zinfandel. Our 2004 “Amador Ice” Zinfandel begins with aromas of fresh tangerines, pears, and berries. In the mouth, the wine has silky sweet characters of caramel and berries with a hint of vanilla. A superb balance of acidity and sweetness allows the finish to linger. 88 points - “Highly Recommended” Beverage Tasting Institute Reserve Champion & Gold Medal - Gold Medal - Bronze Medal - Tasters Guild Consumer Bronze Medal - |
